Difficult game for Rytas against Bonn
One of the most important games for the Lithuanian squad in the Basketball Champions League will occur tomorrow in Vilnius. Rytas is hosting the revelation of the season, Telekom Baskets Bonn in search of a win that can change with 180 degrees the group’s standings.
The Germans are the best team in this group and will advance to the quarterfinals of the European competition because they deserve it. The fight for second place in the group will probably be between Baxi Manresa and Rytas Vilnius. The big problem for the Lithuanians is they have already lost in Manresa by a significant margin. Even if they will beat the Spaniards in Vilnius, it is not sure they can do it with a bigger margin. So they have to make a difference in the other remaining games against Bahcesehir and Telekom Bonn. A potential win today against the Germans will give wings to Rytas and they will have the qualifiers in their hands as Manresa lost last week at home against Bonn.
Tough game, if we take into consideration that Telekom Bonn is in a very good moment in all the competition. Their last victim during the weekend was the EuroLeague powerhouse Bayern Munich in the domestic league of Germany. Bonn is definitely one of the underdogs at the beginning of the season that converted themselves during the last months as title contenders in the Basketball Champions League. Winning against them looks like a mission impossible but I am sure Rytas will try anything to steal the victory!
