Frustrated Arslan definitely provoked Michael Eric
In the yesterday game between Darussafaka and Turk Telekom, Michael Eric hit Ender Arslan and Metin Turen. Everybody saw just this part. But let me explain you how the things actually were:
- Michael Eric had the ball and was defeated by Metin Turen.
- Ender Arslan came “to help” his teammate and for no reason slapped stronglyMichael Eric (you will see in the video below at 1 min and 11 seconds). Arslan fouled Michael Eric as an act of desperation and stupidity, he didn’t even try to attack the ball. This is exactly an unsportsmanlike foul: you do nothing to steal the ball, you don’t try to prevent the opponent to score, the whole thing was far from the basket, but you hit the player with the ball WITH NO INTENTION TO PLAY BASKETBALL. That’s what Ender Arslan did against Michael Eric.
- When the referees whistled the foul and the game has stopped, Ender Arslan marched proudly and smiling in the direction of Michael Eric, a fact that provoked big man’s overreaction. If you analyze the video below you can see how Micheal Eric is looking at the provocative march of the “mosquito” Arslan.
- What happened after has to and will be punished by the Turkish federation, but would be fair to apply some sanctions also to frustrated Ender Arslan who provoked all this mess, not just to Michael Eric who responded and overreacted. Let’s see if Turkish federation can judge FAIR the situation
