I trusted Voluntari to win the Romanian Cup
Two days ago in my Premium Telegram channel with basketball betting tips, I recommended CSO Voluntari as the winner of the Romanian Cup. At that time the odd was around 1.75-1.80 dropping at the game-time to 1.62.
My reasons to bet on CSO Voluntari were multiple and I will expose them below.
First of all, the Romanian Cup has a different rule than the domestic league because the teams involved have to use permanently 2 home-grown players on the court which was a big advantage for CSO Voluntari. They have very good Romanian players and the best proof for that are the numbers: Marcu Badiu scored 19 points to be for the second year the MVP of the Cup, Roland Torok had 13, David Vida 6 points while Vlad Moldoveanu had 2. A total of 40 points were scored by the Romanian players in a game that finished 89-75 for Voluntari.
Another strong reason was that Voluntari showed already greatness in the semifinals of the competition eliminating the revelation of the season in the Basketball Champions League, the one and only U-Banca Transilvania. If Voluntari could beat the team that smashed Darussafaka, Brindisi, Hapoel Holon, Unicaja Malaga, they had the best probability to overcome SCMU Craiova in the final of the Romanian Cup.
Overall, Voluntari had by far a better roster than Craiova and an impressive rotation with 10 outstanding players. They won the Romanian Cup Finals very easy as I predicted.
