Olimpia Milano took down Baskonia as I predicted
At the first look, the odds on Olimpia Milan at Baskonia were simply too high. 1.82 on the Italian side was excellent and I was sure that this unreal odd will drop soon. In the next hours, it was already 1.52 and then it remained around 1.50-1.55 till the game time.
I recommended betting on Olimpia Milan because the odd was too good for the reality of the encounter.
The Basque squad is having a bad start of the season with injuries, some of them recovered, but they still didn’t find the chemistry of playing as a team. The fact that the American guard Wade Balwin missed a week for personal problems affected also the practice of the team. We all know how important is the guard position to build the strategy of the game.
On the other side, Armani Olimpia Milano is continuing their growth path started last season when they were almost to reach the Euroleague finals. This season they look even better and they are a serious title contender. For me, they have a slightly better chance than Anadolu Efes or Real Madrid, for example, to win the Euroleague.
Baskonia at the moment couldn’t be a strong contender for the Italians. The battle was not balanced at all, even if the Basque team did everything on the court. They are simply weaker than Olimpia Milano.
