Reggio Emilia to prevail over Brescia

After a huge win last round away at Virtus Bologna, Unahotels Reggio Emilia will host another Eurocup squad, Germani Brescia. It’s a paradox that in the first 4 rounds of the Italian league, Reggiana won both games away but lost both home games. Now it’s time for their first win in front of their fans and the moment is better than ever because:
  • Brescia had some roster problems. Tyler Kalinoski is diagnosed with Covid-19, while another import player, T. J. Cline is still injured. Their absence is important enough and could be seen in the last quarter of the encounter in Malaga earlier this week. There, Brescia had a good game until the end of the 3rd quarter, when everything goes wrong and they were trashed by Unicaja. It was the effect of a shorter rotation and Brescia couldn’t keep the rhythm with the Spaniards.
  • Reggio Emilia has a huge advantage this season. They are competing in FIBA Europe Cup, that will start later IF will start at all, so they could focus now only on Legabasket games. They are fresh, rested and they have enough time to prepare each encounter. Germani Brescia instead is coming after the road trip to Spain, which won’t help them at all.
  • The host squad is a very ambitious one, who could be a tough opponent to anyone. We saw this in the qualifiers for the Italian Supercup last month, when they fought till the end.
