The Italians on the last spots of the Eurocup groups
I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or it’s a bet who is the worst in Eurocup, but the Italian teams Germani Brescia, Dolomiti Energia Trento and Fiat Torino are on the last spots of their groups.
The Fiat Torino situation could be understood because they had half of their roster injured, and as well they change the players every month.
Dolomiti Trento had the same problems with the injuries starting from preseason. They never had their complete roster for a game. Now, with the firing of Nikola Radicevic and the new injury of Dustin Hogue, they seem to be resigned with the idea that they are out of Eurocup.
The only Italian squad that has a little hope to reach Eurocup Top16 is Brescia, but group A is very tough and now the center Erik Mika is injured. They have to win all the games to be sure of the qualification.
We can get the conclusion that maybe the Italian teams are not in the proper competition for the level of their basketball. Basketball Champions League seems to be a better place for them in the future.
