Bandirma will host the revelation team of the season in Turkey, Bursaspor

When Bursaspor entered the Turkish league this season, nobody gave them credit to do big things between the usual powerhouses of the championship. But after 5 rounds they are on a playoff spot in front of Besiktas, Bandirma or Gaziantep, teams that are representing Turkey in the Basketball Champions League.

Bursaspor shocked the entire world of basketball, beating in the first 2 encounters of the season the Eurocup clubs, Tofas and Darussafaka (that were destroyed at home with almost 20 points margin). After that incredible start of the season, they faced better teams like Pinar Karsiaka or Anadolu Efes, but even against them, Bursaspor didn’t lose very bad.

Now it’s time to pass another difficult test for the newcomers of Bursaspor: facing Bandirma away, a team that improved a lot in the last weeks, integrating their new signing, the American power forward Ian Hummer and welcoming back from injury, the local point guard, Ridvan Oncel. With them, the roster is larger, giving more options to play. Teksut Bandirma is coming after an excellent game in BasketballCL where they stole the win against the Spanish visitors San Pablo Burgos.

It will be a tough game for both teams and I think that the Turkish players coming from the bench for each squad will have an important word to say for the final result of the encounter. Bandirma has the big advantage of the home-court and sincerely if you take a look at the last game if they were able to beat Burgos, they have to win against Bursaspor as well. But the visitors are a very dangerous squad with many experienced players who can come up in the key moments of the game with a proper mentality to seal the win. Difficult game, hard to predict, but interesting to watch.
