Barça showed their muscles at Murcia

Tonight, Barça played an amazing game that nobody expected. Not even the most loyal Blaugrana fans dreamt about this clear victory of their team. Because Murcia has beaten Barça twice this season, the odds were against the Catalans, but great teams always challenge the odds. Murcia was considered the favourite to win at least the first game of the playoff series, especially because Barça looked tired. Valencia Basket shattered them 2 days ago in Barcelona, so the present didn’t look so bright for the Catalans.

Barça controlled the whole game tonight from the begging bulding a 16-point lead at halftime. But, unlike the regular season match, they did not give up in the second half of the match.  Led by the inspiration of Dario Brizuela (18 points) and Will Clyburn (12 points), the visitors continued to smash Murcia. Even if Punter had a mediocre game with only 7 points, Barça couldn’t be stopped.

After this show of power and domination (68-91), we expect Barça to pass over Murcia on Thursday at Palau Blaugrana and to be a strong opponent to Real Madrid in the semifinals of Liga Endesa. If Barça can maintain this focus, I won’t be surprised if they win the trophy at the end of the season. The good news for FC Barcelona is that they now have the entire roster available for the entire season. If they stay motivated till the end, anything can happen, including winning the title in Spain.
