Barca to win “El Clasico” today!
In the last 2 encounters in the Final 4 of the Euroleague, Real Madrid prevailed over Barca in 2013 and 2014. The last one was a complete smash when Los Blancos won over the Azulgrana squad by almost 40 points (100-62), which is unbelievable for a semifinal level.
Nikola Mirotic was playing at that time with Real Madrid and he was the key player in that game. Real was much better than Barca, but now the tables turned around. Mirotic is playing for FC Barcelona which is looking for glory after years of investments in the basketball section of the club. They have built an amazing roster led by the great coach Sarunas Jasikevicius and they are hungry for victory. Especially because they had a lot of bad luck last year when Nick Calathes was injured exactly before the final act and Barca lost against Anadolu Efes.
Now, Barca’s time has come, while Real Madrid, still a good team, is in a moment of rebuilding the roster. Jaycee Carroll is not here, Felipe Reyes is retired, Sergio Lull, Anthony Randolph and Rudy Fernandez had recovered from many injuries during the last seasons, so their shape is not the same as it was in their prime.
FC Barcelona looks more fresh, motivated and ready to advance to the Euroleague’s finals. I think they will pass easily over Real Madrid and then won the title.
