Barça with a good chance at Olympiacos

One of the most awaited clashes is about to begin tonight. The Greeks from Olympiacos are hosting the Catalans in Piraeus. The bookmakers are giving the Greek side a slightly favourite in this game, but I am sure that FC Barcelona can make the surprise.

The most important argument for this to happen is the list of injured players that affects Olympiacos. According to the Euroleague injury report, Luke Sikma, Shaquielle Mckissic and Nigel Williams Goss won’t be available tonight. The good news for the host team is that they will have back Moustapha Fall and Ignas Brazdeikis can also make his debut with the Reds.

Anyways, the rotation of Olympiacos won’t be as deep as usual and FC Barcelona could take advantage of that. Even if this year they are not so favourite to win the EuroLeague after the budget cut and the departure of Saras Jasikevicius and Nikola Mirotic, the Catalans have a solid roster and they have the level to reach the Final Four. The results of tonight’s battle it will be given by the chemistry and inspiration in crucial moments. It will be interesting to see if Olympiacos can pass over the absence of their players, how much Fall is recovered after injury and if Willy Hernangomez and Jabari Parker can finally do great basketball.

I see FC Barcelona with the first chance to win this derby even if Peace and Friendship Stadium will be crowded against them.
