Betting tips: Iberostar Tenerife to destroy Bilbao Basket
If this game would have taken place during the last months, probably it would have been a derby with Bilbao a slight favourite to win it. Now, the circumstances are totally different and I see Iberostar Tenerife as a clear winner for today’s encounter for the next reasons:
- Iberostar Tenerife fought hard in the first 2 games both lost with 7 points margin against strong teams Unicaja Malaga and Baskonia. The Canarian team showed character and desire to win, but it was not enough against very tough opponents. Against Bilbao Basket, the story will be different because the Basque team is decimated by injuries and their rotation is shorter with every game. It was not enough that Arnoldas Kubolka and Jaylon Brown were already missing, now Thomas Schreiner is out indefinitely with the injury suffered last game against Joventut Badalona.
- For Bilbao Basket, the final tournament of LIGA ACB has nothing more to offer. They are already resigned, having the shortest rotation ever due to multiple injuries.
- Not only the absences are the problem for Bilbao. Quentin Serron had also some issues and he was doubtful before last game against Joventut. During that game, he forced himself to overcome the physical problems and his efforts to keep playing were visible.
- On the other side, there is some good news for Iberostar Tenerife. Last game against Baskonia, the American guard Nick Zeisloft made his debut with the team, putting up good numbers: 13 points, 1 rebound and 1 assist. In the same time, Dino Radoncic was back from injury giving Tenerife a larger rotation. They have now a deep roster able to put full-court pressure on Bilbao’s players, which can cause many troubles for the opponent team. Let’s not forget they are in a short rotation, with Serron not completely recovered and with the veteran Rafa Martinez, who is almost 38.5 years old. I don’t know how Bilbao could resist to the run-and-gun offense of Tenerife.
