Bilbao Basket made a horrible 4th quarter vs. MoraBanc Andorra

After having a good start of the season, Bilbao Basket is losing ground. The team that has beaten Real Madrid 3 weeks ago was no able to defend yesterday MoraBanc Andorra, a team affected by many injuries. Andorra came to Bilbao without Moussa Diagne, Tyson Perez and Bandja Sy, having instead their new addition, the center Daniel Clark. He played only for 5 minutes in his debut with Andorra.

The main problem for the host team was Dejan Musli who was dominant in the paint, making a great game for Andorra (15 points and 12 rebounds). But the stats are not enough to explain what really happened. Musli effectively scared the opponents on both sides of the court, opening the game for his teammates, like Clevin Hannah, David Jelinek or Dejan Todorovic, who had an amazing contribution to the victory. In front of him, the Czech giant Ondrej Balvin looked like a child. Dejan Musli forced him to commit some turnovers and to take poor shots. Balvin who impressed in other previous games this season finished with 8 points and only 3 rebounds.

The game was very tied with the home team maintaining the chances to win battle till the last quarter when their offense melted like ice. From leading by 7 points, Bilbao Basket started to play ridiculous, missing everything and practising a bad defense. In the last second of the game, they scored a lucky 3 pointer who made the margin smaller. MoraBanc Andorra won the encounter with 87-82 after making an impressive 4th quarter (25-15).

Bilbao Basket had no solutions to stop the run of the visitors. They played without energy in the final minutes, proving that they need to improve a lot in order to compete with great teams. The coach Alex Mumbru is doing a great job taking back this team from the 2nd league into Liga Endesa, but the roster quality is not enough to reach the playoffs.
