Germany with the first chance to win today against Spain!
Today, in the second semifinal of the Eurobasket, Germany will meet the World champions, Spain. I think that there Germany is the favorite to win the game, because:
- the national team of Spain is not as strong in this Eurobasket edition as in the past. They have already reached too far in this competition by luck, only because Lithuania couldn’t manage the last minutes of the game against Spain. Then, they had an easy opponent, Finland and also in that game, Spain struggled a lot to win it.
- As you could already see, Germany was a dominant team the whole tournament. Except for the game lost with Slovenia and the very balanced encounter against Lithuania, Germany took control of their battles. To the surprise of everyone, they smashed France in the opening game of the group. Then, another huge game was against Greece, when again Germany didn’t leave any chance to their opponent. I don’t speak about winning, I speak about dominating!
- The German defense is impressive. This team has so much energy and determination that Spain won’t resist the whole game.
- Germany is playing at home and the Mercedez Benz Arena will be full of crowds of German fans. This will give the squad the necessary boost to maintain their mental focus on the encounter 100%.
- Spain has good players but this team looks like a youth national team, except for the veteran Rudy Fernandez. They don’t have experience, chemistry and a good defense.
