Peristeri or Bonn to reach the Final Four of the BCL?
Tonight will be the third and last game of the series between Peristeri Athens and Telekom Baskets Bonn. Even if both teams showed great character this season only one will be in Belgrade at the end of this month, fighting for the trophy.
I think that Peristeri will qualify because:
- Bonn won the first encounter and they looked like a great team, but it was because of the huge number of free throws they had, double than the visitors. If Peristeri adjusts a bit the defense they can surprise the Germans.
- In the second game, in Athens, Peristeri dismantled Telekom Baskets Bonn by almost 30 points margin which showed us the title competitor face of the Spanoulis team.
- Glynn Watson Jr. sat out in the weekend game in the domestic league of Germany against Gottingen with illness according to the official website. It depends if he will be back in good shape to help Bonn while he is one of their most important players.
- It is a game of all or nothing and Peristeri have survived in the top 16 in some of those games, reaching the quarter-finals. First, they smashed Hapoel Jerusalem away and then at home, Lenovo Tenerife, both games that required a huge concentration. Finding again this warrior mood can propel the Greeks over Bonn.
- During the weekend in the Greek league, Peristeri lost against Aris, keeping all their energy and focus on the BCL battle of today.
