In the first round of the pre-qualifiers for the BasketballCL season, 16 clubs, each of them belonging to a different country will try today to seal their first win. The club involved are: Benfica Lisbon, Donar Groningen, Fribourg Olympic, Kapfenberg Bulls, Keravnos, Södertälje Kings, Falco Szombathely, BC Kyiv, Bakken Bears, Tsmoki-Minsk, CSM CSU Oradea, Balkan Botevgrad, Legia Warszawa, Inter Bratislava, Sigal Prishtina and Karhu Basket.
This is the first leg of the pre-qualifiers, with the second one to be played on 20 September. The winners of both legs will advance in the next stage of the qualifiers, where they will have to pass stronger teams in order to enter in the BasketballCL groups.
The level of the squads in the qualifiers is very similar and that’s why is very hard to predict any result. Let’s wait for the 1st leg to see how the teams are managing their home-court advantage and then to try to foresee who will be the winners of the pre-qualifiers round.
