The basketball Super League has reached the semifinals, matches that will be played in the best-of-five system, the first matches taking place on June 3-4.
Turk Telekom (1) – Pinar Karsiyaka (4)
The surprising leader of the regular season, Turk Telekom continues its way to the title of champion. After they managed to win the regular season after 29 years of waiting, after the quarterfinals with Galatasaray they reached 17 consecutive games won at home. Jerian Grant had some very good performances in the series with Galatasaray; in the first game victory 94-85 he scored 28 points, 22 points in the away defeat 86-71 and 23 points in the decisive home victory 91-77. Pinar Karsiyaka had more emotions in the home game with Bursaspor won 91-83 after overtime, McCollum finishing with 25 points, Jaylon Brown 19 points and Vitto Brown 17 points. The second match was won from the first quarter by Pinar 27-10, Bursaspor not being able to reduce that huge difference, 92-76 final score, Jaylon Brown 20 points and Delgado 19 points, 10 rebounds were the main scorers. Turk Telekom won both matches of this season and there are good chances to reach the finals with the home field advantage.
Fenerbahce (2) – Anadolu Efes (3)
In the second semifinal, the rich Turkish basketball clubs meet, already a classic of European basketball, 2 teams that arrive here after an extremely bad season in the EuroLeague. Fenerbahce eliminated Tofas in the quarterfinals after 2 offensive performances of over 90 points; in the first game it was 93-78, Hazer had a good game with 17 points, and Motley also had 17 points. In the second away game, Hayes scored 25 points and Guduric scored 16 points for a 98-87 victory. Anadolu had a little more emotions with Darussafaka, especially in match 2. In the first match, although they received 94 points, the offense was at a high level: Beaubois 26 points, Micic 19 points and Clyburn 18 points, 11 rebounds helped to be broken the 100 marked points, 104 to be exact. The second match was much more balanced, won in the end 86-84 with Micic-Larkin scoring 40 of the 86 points. In the direct matches this season, Fenerbahce leads 3-2, but most of the matches were balanced and intense. Anadolu is trying to get revenge after last year’s final, but the game doesn’t seem to be at the same level anymore, Fenerbahce is superior in the game and has the advantage of a decisive match at Ulker Sports Arena.
