Unicaja Malaga will have a much better team this season

Last season was one to forget quickly for Unicaja. The budget was small and the roster was not so competitive. Some injuries also affected the team that finished too early in the Champions League. Then, as expected, Malaga didn’t reach the playoffs in Liga Endesa. It was a disappointing moment for the club, but taking into consideration the circumstances nothing more could have been done.

This season, Unicaja Malaga will fight for a spot in the Basketball Champions League in a tournament that will take place at home against easy opponents between the 21-25 of September..

I am sure there will be no problems for the Spaniards to advance to the regular season of the BasketballCL. Once they arrive there, a long journey will begin. Because this season, Unicaja strengthened constantly their roster a lot by bringing in true players. Tyler Kalinoski, Dylan Osetkowski, Will Thomas, Augusto Lima, Nihad Djedovic, David Kravish, Kendrick Perry, Thomas Wimbush and some good Spanish players will change the face of the team.

With such a deep roster, Unicaja Malaga should be a great competitor for the title in the European competition and probably a contender for the Spanish playoffs. It would be no surprise for me if they reach BCL Final 4. After a mediocre season, Unicaja Malaga will try to do its best to reach its former glory.
