Bandirma will have a new roster

Teksut Bandirma (former Banvit) will continue their journey in Basketball Champions League. They finished last year in 8th place in Turkish Basketball League regular season, but in the playoffs, they were easily eliminated by now-champions, Anadolu Efes with a 2-0. In Champions League they also reached the play-offs, but they lost the tie against Brose Bamberg with 2-0, after two very intense matches.

From the last season, the only foreigner remaining is DJ Shelton. They have lost Gary Neal, Jordan Morgan,  Alex Perez and Tolga Gecim. In exchange, they added four new American players. First, Tyler Kalinoski (26 years-old, 1.93m, SG) from Antwerp. He had a very good season with the Belgium team, helping them to reach BCL Final Four. He averaged 9.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 24 BCL games. He`s a good addition for the Turkish side and he will make a good impact on the court. Second, Omar Prewitt (24 years-old, 2.01m, SF). He came from Polish side Legia were he averaged 18.3 points and 6.1 rebounds, being one of the best scorers in PLK.

Jaime Smith is the third player signed and he came from EuroCup winners, Dinamo Sassari. He averaged 12.3 points and 4.5 assists in the Italian League regular season. In playoffs, he helped Sassari eliminate Olimpia Milano with a huge performance in Game 3 when he scored 29 points. And the last player brought is Emanuel Terry (22 years-old, 2.06m, C). He signed two 10-day contracts in NBA before with Pheonix Suns and Miami Heat. Terry is a young player who can develop a lot playing against great teams in Turkey and BCL.

Bandirma also promoted some young Turkish players from the second team and their aim for this season is to reach the TBL play-offs, but also help their national players to grow. It will be interesting to see how many minutes will be given to those young players.
