Besiktas upseting Bandirma in the openings of the friendly tournament
Yesterday started in Sinan Erdem Dome, from Istanbul the 13th TÜBAD-Mehmet Baturalp Basketball Tournament, a friendly traditional tournament with the participation of 4 important Turkish clubs: Galatasaray, Besiktas, Bandirma and Turk Telekom.
Besiktas won the duel against Bandirma, thanks to a much better rotation. The main scorer for Besiktas was James McAdoo with 23 points, followed by Toddrick Gotcher who had 16 points. For the opponents, the most notable contributions belong to Jaime Smith with 17 points and Şehmus Hazer – 15. Both teams changed almost completely their roster this summer, bringing in new foreigners and hoping for a better place in Basketball Champions League and in the domestic league as well. At this moment, Besiktas Sompo is looking much stronger than Bandirma, who needs one more player to improve their actual rotation.
In the other game of the tournament, Galatasaray escaped with a narrow win against Türk Telekom (70-65). Today Galatasaray will meet Bandırma, while Beşiktaş Sompo will face Türk Telekom.
