Can F.C. Barcelona continue the winning streak against CSKA?
Tonight, the main favourite to win the Euroleague this season, F.C. Barcelona will meet the reigning champions, CSKA Moscow in a big derby. The Catalans are coming after a very good moment, smashing last week in Palau Blaugrana, Fenerbahce and Maccabi Tel Aviv. They have in this game all the advantages, the home court, the impressive roster and the rest because CSKA had as always a long journey from Russia to Spain, which many times affects them a lot.
Last week the Russian squad was hammered in Madrid by Real with a huge margin for a derby, 97-81, without having any chance to win the battle. The most surprising aspect of that encounter was that Ron Baker and Kostas Koufos had no contribution to CSKA. They have played together only for 20 minutes with 0 at index rate chapter, Baker having -3 and Koufos 3. These 2 guys are exactly the so praised acquisitions of the summer made by the Red Army, both coming from NBA to join the Euroleague champions. Till now, the 2 stars didn’t impress much and they were also listed out in the last game in VTB league against Nizhny Novgorod.
I don’t recommend you to bet before the game because the odds are not so attractive, but to wait at live, to catch a better opportunity. Theoretically, CSKA has also a large rotation and the group cohesion so necessary to surprise any team in Europe. It will remain to see at the game time, how this will work on the court in maybe the toughest game away of the season for the Russian club.
