Fenerbahce shows who’s the boss
The yesterday game in the TBSL semifinals had no turning back point. Fenerbahce in spite of the absences of Jan Vesely, Luigi Datome, Joffrey Lauvergne, Erick Green effectively destroyed Turk Telekom. Actually, the host team didn’t have in the roster the number of foreigners allowed by the Turkish federation. Fenerbahce played with only 4 foreigners (Nikola Kalinic, Marko Guduric, Kostas Sloukas and Nicolo Melli) but it seemed enough to face Turk Telekom who had 5 foreigners.
The quality of Fenerbahce basketball due to Zeljko Obradovic experience showed again from the 1st quarter till the last second of the encounter. The most important weapons, Kalinic and Guduric combined for 38 points meanwhile all 5 foreigners of Turk Telekom scored only 36. But the responsibility for this huge win belongs to the second unit of Fenerbahce’s roster composed by Turkish players who came strong, most of them from the bench, and made a great job on the court. The local players of the Euroleague powerhouse had together 37 points and 45 efficiency value.
The rotation used by Obradovic included all 12 Fenerbahce’s players and was for sure the key of the tremendous winning margin: 92-59!
