London Lions won against Trento as I predicted
A couple of days ago, on my private Telegram channel with basketball betting tips, I recommended to my folks to bet on London Lions against Dolomiti Energia Trento. The odds were 1.85 on the hosts and I will show you my reasons for that bet:
- The Italian team had some absences, Mattia Udom and Maximilian Ladurner and their bench was very short. Actually, they had only 6 experienced players and the rising star, 19 years old Matteo Spagnolo. Even in their complete roster, Trento is not a title contender in the Eurocup, being a team that is fighting to get maybe the last spot for the playoffs.
- London Lions were in front of their first home game in Eurocup and it was a historical moment since no English team played in this competition in the last 2 decades. They have built a decent roster and the club is hoping for a Euroleague spot in the near future. But first of all, you have to grow the public, the fans with a passion for basketball, which in Great Britain is almost absent. In order to grow the love for basketball you need victories. Nothing feeds better the fans than good results.
- The only doubts for my bet were the absences of Sam Dekker and Kostas Koufos for the Lions. These ex-NBA players are representing half of the team’s potential. Dekker and Koufos together have an average of 34 points and almost 15 rebounds per game.
London Lions eventually won, having an amazing 12-1 run to finish the game. When the absent players will be back I think that the British team can do other great games in Eurocup.
