The last game of the friendly tournament hosted in the heart city of Transilvania, Cluj-Napoca, was the most expected by the fans. The final battle at the “League of the 4” opposed Partizan Belgrade and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul in a very balanced encounter.
The Serbian team showed a strong desire to win from the first minutes of the game when they took the first lead. Fenerbahce bounced back and won the quarter, but Partizan didn’t let things go and at the halftime, they were 3 points in front of the Euroleague powerhouse (34-31).
The second part of the encounter eas very balanced with Derrick Williams making some show but in the end, Partizan had more concentration and eventually won the battle with 69-64, thanks to a huge shot from the arc made by Rade Zagorac, who finished with the hopes of Fenerbahce.
Partizan looked like a solid team, very tough on both sides of the court and a real competitor in Eurocup this season, where they have a chance to reach out from the group stage.
In the game for the 3rd place of the tournament, the host U-Banca Transilvania and Mornar Bar were engaged in a brawl and the game finished earlier with the Montenegrin side leaving the court at 58-46 for the local team.
