Partizan is already the favourite to win the Eurocup

After Zeljko Obradovic’s signing at the helm of Partizan Nis, a very powerful acquisition campaign started for the Serbian club. They are collecting all that’s good in Europe like Kevin Punter, Zach LeDay, Aleksa Avramovic, Rodions Kurucs and this is just the beginning. I am sure soon Partizan will have a better roster than the majority of the Euroleague powerhouses for the next season.

That’s why the bookmakers reacted very quick giving the Serbian squad the clear favourite to win the Eurocup with a ridiculous odd 2.50, which I don’t take because it’s too low. The next two teams considered title contenders are Virtus Bologna and Valencia Basket both with the same odd 5.50. Of course, since the last season, not only the winner of the Eurocup, but also the runner-up are booking their spot for the Euroleague, which makes the final act of the competition less important.

Definitely. Partizan will make some noise. The fans of such a big club are waiting for results are a couple of years of mediocre basketball. Now there are some money and the fact the Zeljko Obradovic came open a new circle of hope for the club. I won’t be surprised if he will take Partizan in the next years to the Euroleague final four. Or if he will retire with his 10th Euroleague title with Partizan when his story started decades ago.
