The most affected teams before the Final Phase of Liga ACB
Today the most awaited basketball tournament of Europe in Covid-19 era will start in Valencia. Some of the teams have the rosters completed or only one injury while other squads are more affected by important missings. Let’s see now, the most affected clubs that cannot count on all their players at this stage of the competition:
Baskonia
Even it seemed that Patricio Garino is recovered, he won’t be part of the roster because he needs more time for individual practice in order to rejoin the team. Another player that could miss the first games is the giant Youssoupha Fall who is still recovering and will be a game-time decision. Anyway, Baskonia has an impressive roster and important players like Luca Vildoza, Jayson Granger and Zoran Dragic are ready for action.
Bilbao Basket
The other Basque team has bigger problems before the Final Phase. In March, they have lost Jaylon Brown for a couple of months and in spite of the fact that he signed a new deal with Bilbao Basket, the American won’t play in this tournament. Arnoldas Kubolka is also doubtful for the first game and it seems that Bilbao Basket has not so many chances to win against Baskonia in their opening.
MoraBanc Andorra
The biggest men of their team are sidelined. It’s about Moussa Diagne (2.11 m) and Dejan Musli (2.13 m) who will be hard to replace in the paint by Andorra. Their absence will change a lot the strategy of the whole team.
Casademont Zaragoza
Even if they had a good season so far, Zaragoza will be very affected by the important absences. Javier Justiz, D.J. Seeley, Jason Thompson and Renaldas Seibutis won’t be there for the Aragonese club. As well the veteran center, Fran Vasquez decided to retire suddenly this May and Zaragoza will miss his experience.
