The current NBA season is ending. Canada and USA are clashing for the precious ring; Toronto leads 3-2 against Golden State Warriors. However, the season cannot be over without the highlights of the regular season.
NBA awards, a very important event, has six categories, for the top competitors of the regular season, Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man Award, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and NBA Coach of the Year.
In my opinion, the most expected awards are MVP and Rookie of the year, thanks to extraordinary players involved. “The Greek Freak” and “the Bearded” who put a great show in their own ways, are leading the discussion for the MVP race. The first impressed through his power and agility, while the second proved that he is a great scorer and an excellent step-back three shooter.
On the other side, Luka Doncic and Trae Young demonstrated that they have all-star calibre putting big numbers for their teams. The main question is, who did it better.
All the answers and all the awards will be presented on the 24th of June 2019, in Los Angeles.
My picks are James Harden (MVP), Luka Doncic (ROTY), Lou Williams (sixth man of the Year), Giannis Antetokounmpo (DPOY), Pascal Siakam (MIP), and Mike Budenholzer (COTY).
Who would you want to see winning?
