Why I trusted Pinar Karsiyaka to win vs. Gaziantep?

One of my picks for this week in my private Telegram channel with betting tips was Pinar Karsiyaka to win vs. Gaziantep in the Turkish League. The initial odd was 1.53 on Pinar and I suggested as well a small handicap of -2.5 or -3.5 on them. For me, the odd was good because:

  • Pinar Karsiyaka is a dominant team in Turkish basketball in the last years since coach Ufuk Sarica is back with the club. They reached the Champions League final last season and they built good chemistry between experienced players such as Tony Taylor, Amath M’Baye, Alex Tyus, Bonzie Colson and so on. Pinar has also many Turkish players that are of great help making the rotation impressive.
  • Gaziantep also has great results this year, but they are not at Pinar’s level. They are fighting to be in the playoff and before this loss against Pinar they occupied 3rd place in Turkey. And this “fake” position on the rankings made the odd on Pinar Karsiyaka to be so big at the beginning. At the game time, it decrease a bit till 1.45 but still a good odd.
  • Last but not least Pinar Karsiyaka finished their European campaign because they were eliminated from the Basketball Champions League by the tougher Iberostar Tenerife. So, Pinar has now only one focus: the Turkish League. There are no more excuses and they proved that already last week when they smashed Anadolu Efes.
