Worst finishers: Torino at Pesaro
This article is not about Torino being the worst team of the month or season in Italy or Eurocup. Or about the team that hire and fire 20 new players per year. It’s about to have the victory in your hands after almost 40 minutes of play and to escape it in the dumbest way.
In the final seconds of the battle, Fiat Torino was leading the host team Pesaro with 3 points and they have to defend maybe the last attack to seal the victory. What do u do in this case? The margin is 3 points, so everybody knows that the rightest decision is to commit a foul to put the opponent at the free-throw line for 2 shots, avoiding a lucky three-pointer in the last seconds.
Instead of applying on the court these simple thoughts, Torino players left Dominic Artis to score that amazing three-pointer and to tied the game with 2 seconds remaining at 86-86. Then, of course, Torino lost the game in overtime like always.
How long this embarrasing Torino baskteball will last? It cannot be worse. They reached the limits of being ridiculous on big budget.
