Barca to win against Baskonia the Final of Liga ACB
Today will be the last game of the Spanish season opposing two Euroleague powerhouses that deserve to be there. A historical Barca with huge investments in the roster this season and a brave Baskonia who reach more than they could hope. When the season was stopped due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Baskonia was fighting for a playoff spot and far from being the title contender that is now. They were affected by long-term injuries the whole year and maybe that’s why they weren’t able to show their full potential.
At the final tournament, Baskonia had a good path, having at disposal a better and more complete roster, including Luca Vildoza, Jayson Granger and Zoran Dragic which are boosting both offense and defense. The only missing guy for the Basque team is Patricio Garino, while Yousoupha Fall is doubtful. They look like a great team and after beating Valencia Basket in the semifinals they have good morale. But this won’t be enough in front of FC Barcelona that came to this Final Phase with 15 players, resting many of them during the tournament. They will choose for sure their best 12 men to compete in the Final, which is a huge advantage. Baskonia has only 10 experienced players.
The second argument for FC Barcelona is that they had a very easy semifinal against San Pablo Burgos, while, Baskonia fought a lot till the last seconds with Valencia Basket and that’s why they can be more tired. Last but not least, Barca had a bigger budget, so the selection of the roster was different since the beginning of the season. Barca’s current roster is superior to any team in Spain and maybe in Europe they can have problems only with Anadolu Efes. Huertel is back from injury and with a big desire to play, Pangos as well, Mirotic is the MVP of the season and probably the most skilled power forward in Europe and so on. Normally, Barca has to win by at least 5 points, in any circumstances, even on a bad day.
