Chris Singleton, more fouls than points

When this moment arrives in your career (to have more fouls than points scored) it means that 1. you are an old player who forgot to retire from basketball or 2. you lost your motivation and you don’t feel good in that team.

The first explanation does not apply to Singleton who is still one of the top players in Europe. With Lokomotiv Kuban in the past, he was impressive and eliminate Barcelona in the playoff series of the 2015-2016 season. Then he came to Panathinaikos, where he had good games, being one of the key players.

This summer, Barcelona renovated their roster, including the American forward as a big hope to reach finally a top position in the Euroleague. But the last 2 games prove that Singleton lost all his joy to play basketball: against both Real Madrid and Olympiacos, he was scoreless! Even more, against the reigning champs he had -3 index rating and yesterday against the Greek team, he played 30 minutes for just 1 index rate. He had 0 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and made 3 fouls!

This is unacceptable for such a good player. He reached now the lowest level of the worst juniors who enter for the first time in a Euroleague game. Something has to be changed: the team or his motivation.
