Fenerbahce will be a title contender in the EuroLeague!
The next Final 4 of the Euroleague will take place in Istanbul and it seems that the Turkish teams will have a huge role in the battle for the trophy. Anadolu Efes, two times in a row Euroleague champions will be stronger than ever, after maintaining the core of the last season and bringing in amazing players such as Clyburn, M’Baye and Zizic. But lets have a look at their eternal rivals, Fenerbahce Beko, the reigning champions of Turkey.
Fenerbahce made a lot of changes this summer and the most inspired one was to bring in the reputed coach Dimitris Itoudis who is able to bring teams to success as he did in the past with Banvit and CSKA Moscow. The Turkish club operated a huge transformation finishing the contracts with Nando de Colo, Achile Polonara, and Edgaras Ulanovas while bringing in other great players.
Scottie Wilbekin, Jonathan Motley, Nemanja Bjelica, Tonye Jekiri and Nigel Hayes will definitely help the squad to find an impressive offensive rhythm which will be difficult to be stopped by any opponents. It remains to be seen if Fenerbahce will have also a strong defense, the key to winning games in the Euroleague.
With this roster that is including many valuable Turkish players too (Birsen, Hazer, Akpinar, Mahmutoglu and so on), I see Fenerbahce able to reach the Final 4 and why not, attacking the title in the Euroleague.
