FIBA Europe Cup title contenders: Enisey Krasnoyarsk

After one year of absence from the continental competitions, the Russian team is coming back in a new formula. Enisey will play both in VTB League and FIBA Europe Cup. This summer they have parted ways with all the foreigner players: Martins Meiers, John Robertson, Mike Bruesewitz, D’Angelo Harrison and Denis Lukashov. But the good news is the club have kept the entire Russian core of the team.

Enisey Krasnoyarsk has signed some big names this summer and we are not able to say which is the best one. Darius Morris who played in the past with the Lakers and with other NBA teams looks like a very good deal for the Russians. Garlon Green will bring in his Euroleague stint with Khimki Moscow, while Dustin Hogue is coming to join the squad after a couple of wonderful years spent with the Italian team, Trento. He reached with them the Legabasket finals and Eurocup semifinals back in time, being one of the most solid pillars of their roster. His experience and calm will be a key factor in many games.

Big man, Tomislav Zubcic who’s coming from Liga ACB will help a lot in the paint and last but not least, Davion Berry will try to boost the offense of Enisey. Between the new signings, there is as well Alexandr Gudumak, Moldavian-Russian player, who can be more than a decent role player in FIBA Europe Cup.

I think Enisey has made these additions in order to reach something, especially in the continental competition. They have a better roster than last season and the power to reach the highest level of the contest. Their rotation is definitely one of the largest in Fiba Europe Cup, where the only teams that can face them till now are Pinar Karsiaka, Bahcesehir and U-Banca Transilvania.
