These rounds are crucial for the majority of teams in Turkey in order to reach the playoffs. Some of them made important changes trying to improve after a bad first part of the season. Galatasaray is one of them but their hope looks smaller every round. After bringing in new players like Pierre Jackson, Assem Marei, Jordan Crawford and Amile Jefferson, Galatarasay should have won some games. Actually, the Turkish team that finished already the Champions League campaign kept only Brock Motum from their initial group of foreigners. They renovated half of their roster and they could aim for better results but the bad luck is affecting us.
Last round at Turk Telekom they start the game very strong having a big lead and maintaining that margin also during the first minutes of the 3rd stanza. Then they collapsed in a pathetic way, losing this quarter with 32-15. Galatasaray tried to comeback in the last minutes but this gap created in 5 minutes was too big.
Now, why I call this bad luck? Because Pierre Jackson didn’t play for Galatasaray, while Brock Motum was on the bench but didn’t enter at all. Both with health problems. Two great players that could definitely change the faith of the game. Even without them, Galatasaray fought with determination but in the second part of the encounter, the short rotation showed their weakness.
