Hapoel Jerusalem is the best team in Basketball Champions League by numbers
Even if they finished the group on the 2nd spot after AEK Athens, Hapoel Jerusalem is actually the Basketball Champions League leader in almost everything that matters. That’s why I wrote at the beginning of the competition that they are strong title contenders. Let’s take a look at their stats before the 2nd leg against Neptunas:
- the Israeli team is the best team at points scored per game: 90.1. On the 2nd place, we find Virtus Bologna and then the already eliminated Umana Venezia
- Hapoel Jerusalem dominates also at rebounds the entire competition with 42.2 per game, followed by CEZ Nymburk and Sidigas Avellino
- With 22.5 assists per game, the Israeli powerhouse is leading also this category, where next we have Iberostar Tenerife and Sidigas Avellino
- as it was expected, Hapoel Jerusalem is by far the most efficient team with 110.3 index rate per game, followed by Iberostar Tenerife and Virtus Bologna
