I trusted U-BT Cluj-Napoca to win against Salon Vilpas

Yesterday, I advised the members of my private Telegram channel to bet live on the Romanian side U-BT Cluj-Napoca. After a good start, their odd was growing in the second quarter reaching 1.35, then 1.48 and 1.53. Then the odd grew once again in the third stanza when Salon Vilpas has some short moments of leading the game.

I gave credit to the Romanian team because:

  • U-BT Cluj-Napoca has impressive foreign players. They have kept Patrick Richard, Andrija Stipanovic, Karel Guzman from the last season roster while adding big names like Stefan Bircevic and Dustin Hogue. Toni Katic and Elijah Stewart are as well solid players.
  • On the other side, I saw that the American big man Justin Young didn’t enter at all for Salon Vilpas. If he didn’t play till halftime there was a high probability that he won’t enter till the end of the game. The other centers of the Finnish team accumulated a lot of fouls and were in trouble to be eliminated what actually happened with Jeremiah Wood. Brian Griffin was also in danger having 4 fouls. In these circumstances, I was sure Vilpas will not resist till the end, even if their 3 point percentage was huge.

Now U-BT will face the host of the tournament in a do-or-die game which is the most difficult for them. Peristeri has a great roster bringing in many experienced Greek and foreign players from AEK Athens.
