In very short rotation, Brose Bamberg hammered Alba Berlin
After a couple of bad seasons, Brose Bamberg is back and starts to look promising again. They won easily the toughest group of the Basketball Champions League, that included quality squads like Pinar Karsiyaka, Bilbao Basket and Fortitudo Bologna and this was not simple coincidence. Brose are proving a good level also in the German league, where they smashed yesterday Alba Berlin with a good margin.
Maybe nobody gave them a chance in front of the Euroleague powerhouse, but the ball movement, the concentration and the execution were excellent in key moments of the game. Actually, Brose Bamberg used only a 7 players rotation for this game, a situation that had to make the things more difficult for them. Because of this short rotation, Christian Sengfelder had to play all 40 minutes but he did it in an amazing way. The young German star finished the encounter with 31 points scored, grabbing 17 rebounds for 40 units at the index rate. He simply dominated the game, being by far the best player on the court from both teams.
At the moment Brose Bamberg could count only on 4 foreigners and 3 local players. Even in this delicate situation, they wrote a page of history beating the great team of Alba Berlin. When the roster will be complete I am sure Brose Bamberg will be a very dangerous opponent and definitely a title contender in Basketball Champion League.
