Olympiacos smashed Baskonia as I expected

Since the beginning of the week, I have recommended on my private Telegram channel with betting tips to pick up Olympiacos against Baskonia. I trusted the Greeks to win the battle because:

  • Baskonia has a mediocre roster this season. They are not looking like a strong team but like an experiment and maybe at the end of the season they will be much better as a team. At the moment, they are looking like a decent Eurocup squad.
  • The Basque team was beaten last week by Joventut Badalona and they have shown in that game all their weaknesses. Of course, Baskonia has some missing players. They recovered Giedraitis and this was a good thing because he was their scorer against Olympiacos with 15 points.
  • On the other side, Olympiacos has changed a bit the roster and they have lost Vassilis Spanoulis who retired, but the main core of Greek players is still there (Printezis, Sloukas, Papanikolau, Vezenkov). They looked like a huge team in the Greek Cup the weeks ago.
  • When I made the initial bet I didn’t know that Wade Baldwin won’t be available. He had to take a break for family reasons. His absence was very important and convinced me that Olympiacos will have an easy win.

The final score says it all: 75-50, one of the strongest wins for Olympiacos in the Euroleague.
