Partizan Belgrade is coming back strong
After years of financial struggles, the Serbian powerhouse looks ready to bounce back and compete for ABA Liga title and for Eurocup trophy as well.
The biggest move was made last season when the black and whites signed head coach Andrea Trinchieri, former Eurocup coach of the year in 2014, for a 3 years contract period and for an astonishing wage of 360.000 Euro per season.
The dividends paid out and Partizan Belgrade reached ABA League semi-finals, Serbian Championship final and won Serbian Cup.
For this year, Partizan Belgrade already signed a very interesting player, Rashawn Thomas from Dinamo Sassari the FIBA Europe Cup winner and the Italian Serie A finalists. In FIBA Europe Cup, Thomas averaged 15.5 points and 6.4 rebounds with a monster performance against ZZ Leiden when he recorded 40 points and 16 rebounds for a 54 PIR.
Besides Thomas, they added former Euroleague PG, Nemanja Gordic which played last season for Buducnost Podgorica, a very familiar face since he played for Partizan in the 2012-2013 season.
The sources are saying that for the next season the club is also negotiating with Kevin Seraphin (Barcelona), William Mosley (Trieste) and Austin Hollins (Rasta Vechta).
