Toronto Raptors

  Toronto Raptors

The Raptors history don’t go too far away in time, as they were founded in 1995. Since then they made the playoffs only ten times, mostly of those times Toronto was eliminated from the first round. Vince Carter played for them in the early 2000s, but besides that legendary Dunk Contest in which he cemented himself as one of the greatest dunkers in history, the Raptors didn’t do very much in the playoffs, as mentioned above. Chris Bosh is another future Hall of Famer who spent some time in Canada. He was selected as an All Star for five years in a row while he was there. Unfortunately for the Raptors organization, he left in 2010 when the superteam was formed in Miami. DeMar DeRozan came up next “in line”, and he developed himself into an All Star as well. Currently he is the leading scorer of the franchise. When Kyle Lowry was traded to the team in 2012, the organization and the fans had high expectations that they will do something in the playoffs for once in their history. After the 2014-15 season, when they got swept by the Wizards in the First Round, they began to have very good regular seasons, finishing top five in the East every time. Unfortunately for the Toronto Raptors, Cleveland Cavaliers were too much for them in each of those years. The Cavs have beaten them two times in the Second Round and once in the Eastern Conference Finals.
