Today, FC Barcelona will smash Real Madrid in Palau Blaugrana

Since the beginning of the season, Barca was the favourite to win the Spanish title. If Real Madrid would have kept all their players, like Facu Campazzo, Gabriel Deck who left the team for the NBA or Anthony Randolph, Trey Thompkins who injured, probably the battle would have been more balanced. But still, the Catalans had the first chance for many reasons:

• Firstly, Barca has a fresher roster and a good combination between athleticism and experience. Real Madrid is in a transition from the “Golden Age” to a new era where they have to find replacements for ageing players. Felipe Reyes, Jaycee Carroll, Rudy Fernandez, and also Sergio Llull are getting old.  What is affecting them the most is not only the age but as well the repeated injuries that came with it.
• Barca won almost all the encounters against Los Blancos this season. Actually, Real Madrid won only one time with 2 point margin against the Catalans since October 2019.
• Pau Gasol is much better now than was 2 months ago when it came to relaunching his career. His numbers are exactly the help Barca needed to win crucial games.

Today, Barca has the possibility to seal the deal after an enormous year full of accomplishments. They definitely will try to destroy their eternal rivals in Palau Blaugrana, crowning themselves with the Liga ACB trophy.
