Tofas heroically comeback not enough

Being led at the halftime by as many as 20 points, Turkish host Tofas managed to cut the deficit to nothing, surprisingly reaching the overtime against the visitors Alba Berlin.

The score of this Eurocup game at the break time was 32-52, but Tofas hit an amazing 60 points in the second half to eventually tie the battle at 92. In the overtime period, the young team of Alba looked fresher and inspired to gain the final lead.

Sammy Mejia effort (28 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds) was not enough this time and Tofas has to concentrate to win next round away against Arka Gdynia to maintain the qualification hopes alive.

The big problem for Tofas right now is the absence of experimented Turkish point guard Baris Ermis, who will miss 3 more weeks.
