Treviso to trash Cantu

Two former glories of the Italian basketball will play today. De’Longhi Treviso is hosting Cantu for what should have been a derby. But, unfortunately, it won’t a real clash because of many factors involved recently. I take Treviso to win by -5,5 points because:
  • They parted ways with the weak American Tyler Cheese, replacing him with Michal Sokolowski, one of the best Polish players in the last years. He definitely will help a lot Treviso to win some games. The change operated by Treviso will have an important impact on both sides of the court, boosting offense and defense as well.
  • The visitors from Cantu are very affected by Coronavirus. Last weeks Jaime Smith was diagnosed with the disease and now another 3 Italian players: their main starter, Andrea Pecchia and the next bench players: Andrea La Torre and Philippe Bayehe. Actually, at the moment, Cantu will rely only on 5 American players plus the most inexperienced bench in Italy. How long could they resist? 1 quarter? Till the halftime?
  • Treviso has the second-best scorer in Italian league: the former Euroleague sharpshooter, David Logan, who is averaging 20 points per game since the beginning of the season. Their bench is not impressive but definitely better than Cantu’s at the moment.

The hosts are looking like a solid team and now with the addition of Sokolowski, they will have the necessary depth for a decent rotation which can cause problems for many teams in Legabasket.
