Turk Telekom or JDA Dijon to reach the semifinals of the Champions League?
Today, the Final 8 of the Basketball Champions League will start in Athens with 2 tough games: Hapoel Jerusalem vs. San Pablo Burgos and Turk Telekom vs. JDA Dijon. A win is taking the teams in the semifinals of the tournament. Let’s see all the details about the encounter between the Turkish and the French clubs:
- Turk Telekom has rebuilt their roster compared with their last game played in BasketballCL, adding fantastic players like Michael Eric, Tyler Ennis or Sam Dekker. A couple of weeks ago they signed also Keyfer Sykes only as reinforcement for the Final 8, co it looks like they care a lot about the trophy.
- The Turkish club kept as well Kyle Wiltjer and Muhammed Baygul from the last season while completing the roster with Kamar Baldwin, Samet Geyik and Can Korkmaz.
- The French side arrived at the Final 8 after struggling 2 weeks ago with Nizhny Novgorod. Since that moment JDA Dijon had only one official game in the French league, beating the Euroleague powerhouse, Asvel Lyon which will give them a boost of confidence.
- Turk Telekom didn’t play till now official games in the Turkish league, so they are more rested than JDA Dijon and they travelled less to reach Athens than their opponents. It remains to see if this will be of great help today.
I think Turk Telekom is a bit better than JDA Dijon and they could win the encounter and qualify for the semifinals of the BasketballCL.
