Why I pick up Varese at Treviso Basket?
Yesterday on my private Telegram channel I recommended betting on Varese at Treviso Basket odd 3.10. Here are the reasons for my choice:
I felt that the odd was too big and actually in spite of a good season, I never saw Treviso as an impressive team. It’s true they are already qualified for the Italian playoffs, with a couple of rounds remaining and they have some good players around the veteran David Logan. This team came back from the second league and they are trying to revive the basketball tradition in Treviso, where the Benetton squad made history. I think this is good and the Italian federation cooperate a bit helping this team to be in the playoff this season
At the same time, Varese needed the victory to come close to the playoff spot. They have experienced players and a better rotation now than a couple of months ago. Scola and the team can aim for a playoff spot and as hard workers they would do anything to reach that. Their motivation had to be double for this encounter at Treviso because their situation was different. Treviso was already qualified, while Varese was starving for a win.
During the previous days of the game, the odd on Varese grew a bit on some bookies from 2.80 to 3.00 or 3.10. I never understood why people are betting on Treviso that didn’t need the victory against very motivated visitors that fought for every possession.
