Why I’ve bet the handicap against Brindisi and Sassari in Champions League?
Yesterday we won another 2 bets, announced in my Telegram channel, this time in Basketball Champions League. I took Burgos to win -4.5 vs. Brindisi and Bakken Bears +12.5 vs. Dinamo Sassari, both at the odd 1.67. The reasons for these picks have a common root. During the weekend in Italy, Dinamo Sassari hosted Happy Casa Brindisi. Both teams struggled a lot, having each an important missing player. The game was very intense and required a lot of energy. After this, both teams had games away, but there are no direct flights from Sassari to Denmark or to Burgos. So the teams had to change some flight, accumulating fatigue.
San Pablo Burgos had all their players available and they were playing the 3rd game in a row at home, after beating Murcia and destroying Estudiantes. They had all the moral advantages in front of Brindisi, who came without Derek Willis, an important player. Burgos covered the handicap winning with 22 points margin.
In the other game, my pick was not on Bakken to win but to cover a big handicap because they are a good home-team, a fact proved all the last seasons when they were a constant and nice presence in FIBA competitions. Bakken is an offensive team, they score many points and I was sure that Dinamo Sassari tired and without all their players cannot assure a big margin. Maybe Bakken could win as well but they had some injuries too, so that’s why I’ve chosen the handicap on them. In the end, Bakken lost by 7 points, covering as well the handicap.
