Worst finishers: Dacka, once again!
First of all, congratulations for the win against a tough squad like Olympiacos. But below I made a list of mistakes Darussafaka did in the last quarter, when after leading with 72-60 with 5 minutes and 56 seconds remaining, they almost lost the game:
- a lot of unacceptable shots, a couple of them actually airballs. Instead of working to free their best shooters, in the last minutes Dacka was so excited/afraid of winning against the Greek team that their offense looked very disorganized.
- with 50 seconds remaining and a full 24 seconds attack, Toney Douglas hurried up and shot at 17 seconds, instead of CONSUMING the shot clock till the end
- at 76-71 for Dacka, with 15 seconds left from the game, the Turkish team did not commit the 5 foul to put Janis Strelnieks on the free-throw line. Instead of this the Latvian guard of Olympiacos hit an amazing 3 points that complicated a lot the final of the game.
Dacka deserved to win, they fought a lot for every possesion, but after 4 quarter of playing very good, at the end they needed a bit of luck, instead of controlling the game.
