Avellino has to prevail easily against Banvit
The Basketball Champions League offer this round a supposed derby between Italian Avellino and Turkish side Banvit. But, it cannot be a derby because Banvit has fired two foreigner players Stefan Bircevic and Marcus Thornton and did not replace them yet.
Sidigas Avellino is a strong team at home, they smashed this weekend Dolomiti Trento with almost 40 points margin, so I expect an easy game with Banvit.
The only problem is that Matt Costello, one of the Avellino centers got injured in the game against Trento, so probably he will be out. But anyway, the Italian squad has a lot of experienced ex-Euroleague players like Norris Cole, Caleb Green, Demetris Nichols who can make difference in the battle against Banvit.
Even in a case of loss, Banvit won’t be in danger and still on the first spots of the group A of the Basketball Champions League!
