Galatasaray should try to stop Iberostar Tenerife
At a first look, Iberostar Tenerife is definitely the big favorite of this encounter with Galatasaray. But I think the Turkish team could provide a good answer to the visitors because:
- Galatasaray Istanbul needs desperately the victory to balance a bit their chances to reach out of the group stage. Dinamo Sassari has already 3-0 and Iberostar Tenerife 2-1. If both Sassari and Tenerife will win today, Galatasaray is already eliminated with 2 rounds remaining. It will be very unfair and boring, isn’t it?
- Tenerife will come more relaxed because they already beat Galatasaray last week. Also, the Canarian team will have a large trip to Istanbul.
- Baris Ermis is back for Galatasaray providing experience and a larger rotation to his team. In the same, time, Iberostar Tenerife has only a couple of strong players, their bench is not very convincing. The Spaniards have some missing players like Dani Diez, Aaron Doornekamp, Georgios Bogris and Santi Yusta, the last two long term injured.
The truth is that Galatasaray is a weak team, their results till now are horrible. Also this weekend they were humiliated by Afyon in the domestic league with 97-80. On the opposite, Tenerife lost only one game in the Spanish league till now. But, Galatasaray needs to try the impossible to stay alive in this group. The odd 3.15 on them on bet365 is simply too much.
