Iberostar Tenerife – out of shape
It seems that the holiday spirit affects some teams, making them too lazy. After the game lost last week at Joventut Badalona with an embarrassing margin (84-64), Iberostar Tenerife continued the bad shape also in the home game with Manresa.
What had to be an easy game transformed into a thriller because the host couldn’t dominate a weak Manresa, team who lost this week two of their best players: Justin Doellman and Alex Renfroe.
So, in a very short rotation the visitors produced the miracle and had the chance to tie the game in the last seconds, but Pere Tomas missed both free-throws and Tenerife eventually won with 77-75.
It’s the same Tenerife that destroyed this season Valencia with 100-66? Or the squad who smashed Baskonia two weeks ago (70-63)? Hard to believe!
