Ivica Zubac – from bench player to hero

Everybody was waiting for this moment, when Ivica Zubac will explode in the NBA. Till now he was the eternal bench player for Los Angeles Lakers, averaging this season 5.5 points, adding almost 4 rebounds in 20 minutes per game.

The best opportunity came last night exactly against the team that dominated last years the NBA: Golden State Warriors. The young Croatian giant finished the game in a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds, because he has seen more minutes (31) on the court, due to the injury of JaVale McGee. Even without him, Lakers trashed Warriors with 127-101, a result that nobody expected!

Zubac, just 21 years old, is a promising player if you take in consideration his extraordinary percentages: 66% FG and 87,5% from the free-throw line. If he will see more playing time, he can develop faster into a great player.
